"As per your referral, I hired R.E. as my attorney. So it is with great pleasure, I’d like to inform you that my permanent green card has finally been approved a few minutes ago! I just got the email from USCIS saying: “On January 25, 2016, we ordered your new card, and will mail it to the address you gave us.”  I am eternally grateful to both of you for all your help! Thank you so much for all your help! I cannot describe in words how thankful I am! You really made a huge difference in my life I am so happy!" – N.G.

"After suffering such a horrific loss as that of my son due to my same sex ex partner having taken him suddenly and throughout years of exhausting all local legal resources and emptying my account, I had begun to give up. I felt hopeless and that there was no chance left for justice for my son and I. Months earlier I had come across various LGBT organizations and on a whim emailed LeGaL. I knew nothing of who they really were and all that they did but I was desperate to find someone to listen to my story. Brett, one of the kindest and soft spoken people through this process reached out to me at the beginning and after hearing my story was determined to find me a lawyer willing to represent me pro bono. I finally had someone to speak justice for my son and I and to advocate for the cause with the utmost determination, strength and dedication. These individuals all became family. They have given me hope when I had none. They have allowed me a chance at having old case law revoked that allowed for my sons mother to keep him from me. There will never be words to express what this year meant. How giving me a real voice to provide justice not only for my son but all the other children in this country suffering from similar circumstances. Times are changing and it's time we stand strong and create a better world for LGBT families. I have LeGaL to thank for creating the spark and for being mine and my sons superhero as we await a verdict. I will never forget their support and love."  – B.B.
