Post-Election LGBT Community Forum: What Now? What Next?

In the aftermath of the 2016 Presidential Election, LeGaL hosted an open community forum at The Center to address concerns over post-election LGBT rights. The forum was led by a panel of leading LGBT advocates, including Carol L. Buell (Carol L. Buell Law & Mediation, PLLC), Arthur S. Leonard, (New York Law School), Carmelyn P. Malalis (NYC Commission on Human Rights), Aaron C. Morris (Immigration Equality), Beverly Tillery (The New York City Anti-Violence Project), Ritchie Torres (New York City Council), and Jillian Weiss (Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund). Moderators Brett Figlewski and Yetta Kurland headed the discussion and fielded questions from the audience. Those who could not attend in person were able to view a live streaming of the event on LeGaL's Facebook page. The forum was also followed by a free legal clinic.
