We are extremely proud to present our Community Vision Awards to the 83rd Attorney General of the United States, Loretta E. Lynch, the first openly gay judge on the New York Court of Appeals, Hon. Paul G. Feinman, and Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund (TLDEF) Executive Director, Jillian T. Weiss.

Under Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch's leadership, the Justice Department sued North Carolina over its discriminatory anti-LGBT "H.B. 2" law, which blocked municipalities from enacting LGBT non-discrimination ordinances and banned transgender people from using the restroom in schools and government buildings consistent with their gender identity.

Judge Paul G. Feinman is the trailblazing former President of LeGaL, who in 2017, became the first openly gay person to serve on New York's highest court.

Jillian T. Weiss serves as TLDEF's Executive Director, where she leads the organization's work to end discrimination and achieve equality for transgender people, particularly those in our most vulnerable communities.
