Who runs the legal clinic?

The LeGaL Foundation is pleased to provide a pro bono legal clinic devoted to serving the LGBTQ community of NYC.

What kind of help is offered?

The clinic is staffed by volunteer attorneys who are available to provide general guidance and legal referrals, but not legal representation. Each visitor can expect to have a 15 – 20 minute consultation with our volunteer attorneys. Depending on your circumstances, you may also qualify to receive free assistance with long-term planning documents such as wills, living wills, and health care proxies.

When and where is the clinic held?

The legal clinic is held every Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. (excluding holidays) at The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in Manhattan.

Do I need an appointment?

No appointment is necessary, but you should arrive prior to 6:45 ensure that you can be seen.
